American Legion

The American Legion is the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization aimed at advocating patriotism across the U.S. through diverse programs .

Legion Family


We are the male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion. Some of us are veterans ourselves.

Sons of AmericanLegion

SAL members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.

American Legion Riders

American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001.

Post 1

American Legion Post 1 Omaha has been been in this location since the 1967. It has a proud tradition of supporting Veterans of all branches of the Military.
